  1. I find it funny that these diapers are being listed as a new product. They have been sneaking these sub generic diapers into the old cruiser packaging for a very long time. The new dry max diaper is very thin(a very cheaply made feel) not soft at all(not inside or outside), there is no longer a liner up the back of the diaper(nothing to catch poop or blowouts), there is no longer a mesh liner(which wicked away moisture and acted as a barrier between the absorbent liner, thus keeping moisture off your babies skin, also it worked well at holding poops in place) there are MANY reports of diaper rash with these new diapers as well as possible chemical reactions to this diaper now being made with petrochemicals more than anything else ( enviro friendly how???). There is an entire facebook group called “Pampers Bring Back The Old Cruisers” that has 450 members and growing daily. It has a wealth of information about all the issues with these new diapers. Also you can find all the comparisons of the old cruisers verses the new. One look there and you will see exactly how much of a downgrade this is. Why pay a premium price for such a downgrade? There claims of this “new” technology being better for your baby and for the environment is extremely far fetched and nothing more than a business move to try and force these on the public. Pampers has stated that it costs less to make these diapers and that they will NOT be transferring this savings on to the consumer. That statement in itself shows that this “new” diaper was not built for your babies bottom…but for their bottom line. BUYER BEWARE!!!

  2. They are amazingly thin, which is quite impressive. It lets baby move around a lot easier. But, there is a major con – there is no elastic waistband. I ordered a sample to test them out. My daughter wore the 1st one to nap and woke up with poop all over her back. I am sticking with Huggies because they have an ESSENTIAL elastic band to keep poop in!

I felt forced into buying these after without warning, Pampers pulled the Premium Absorbancy diapers (only available at Target) off the market. I was very hopeful for something comparable, but was grossly disapointed. I wanted to so badly to like these!! The Premium Absorbancy were very pricey, but they were the closest match to the Swaddlers that I loved, so they were worth the splurge.

I did an aborbancy test by pouring a cup of water into these, as well as into the Pampers overnights, which I have been using lately for daily use. They absorbed about the same, which is why I gave any stars at all, but the new “dry max” diaper became solid, like hard cardboard. The Overnights were still soft and mobile. These newbies may be thinner, but how is that an improvement if baby is running around with cardboard in their crotch??!! I’ll be sticking with the Pampers overnights, until Pampers unexplicably pulls those too and replaces them with a cheap substitute. Boo on you Pampers!!

Dry Max is a downgrade from the original. i have a 9 month old baby who never leaked until he used Dry Max. Every night his pajamas were soaked. He leaked during the day too. I went out and found an old box of Cruisers (not Dry Max) at Babies R Us and he is no longer leaking. Dry Max diapers also gave my son diaper rash which is something he has NEVER had. The minute we switched back to the old version of Crusiers it went away. The new diapers are poorly designed. Seems to me they just reduced the quality of the product to save money and slapped on a new and improved label.

  5. I have been an avid Pampers swaddlers/cruisers fan since the day my 2 year old daughter was born. In fact, neither of my children have ever had any other brand on. I am writing in regards to the new and “improved” pampers dry max line. My daughter has woken up with wet pajamas and a soaking wet bed EVERY morning since I started putting the new dry max diapers on her! She has even had a few wet pants episodes during the day- I intially thought I was sloppy putting the diaper on, but after multiple episodes I realized it wasn’t my diaper application that was causing the problems! I am the mother of a 2 year old and a 5 week old. I don’t have time to change sheets every morning and outfits multiple times! I’m disappointed in the new line and I’m even more disappointed that I have to switch diaper brands since I have always been a huge pampers fan! Thanks for trying, but I miss the old, less leaky cruisers!
