My 2 1/2 yo son enjoys the cause and effect aspects of the power tools. He also likes to hammer the nails into the table. I like the fact that he can grow into the toy and assemble the toolbox down the road. I also prefer the overall realistic look versus a juvenile style that will much better suit him throughout the years.

First let me say I bought this same toy on here a few weeks ago for $100 less and I still think it is overpriced. I should have bought the basic workbench at Walmart for $50. It says it comes with over 50 extra pieces who knew they were counting each piece of your toolbox and the pieces you need to put it together. After putting it together your only have 3 screws, 3 nuts, and 5 nails and the tools. I expected alot more pieces for my son to play with. The toolbox it tiny and the way it fits together everything falls out of it. I would recommend this toy but only the basic set. It is not worth paying more for the so called extras. Besides the toolbox and flashlight I don’t believe you are getting any extras. Had I not already put it together I would have returned it and bought the cheaper one.

We didn’t buy this on Amazon, due to the ridiculous price (a big box store carries it for $54.98), but we bought it because of the reviews we read on Amazon. My three year-old LOVES this toy. It’s easy to put together and will last a long time. Good quality and hours of fun. My son’s favorite 2008 Christmas toy! Highly recommended!

I recently purchased this toy for my son’s 2nd birthday and he loves it!! He is obsessed with Bob the Builder and he loves having tools just like Bob. It comes with a ‘power drill and power saw’ and also a little bendy lamp that he loves. I also have a 4 year old girl who likes it just as much as my two year old. It does come with some small nuts which I don’t let him have but he is fine with the bolts and screws which he can hammer and screw into place. He is too young to do the tool box project that comes with the set, but my husband assembled it and he likes to use it to carry his tools around. I paid $69 for my tool bench and I think it was well worth the money. It was easy to assemble and has been by far his favourite birthday gift.
